The ruggedly elegant Wasatch Mountains grace Alta and Snowbird with the best powder in the country, attracting legions of skiers, snowboarders, and all-around winter fanatics to 500 inches of light, fluffy snow. Year after year, these legendary Utah destinations live up to their name and mirror the same exuberance in summer months when high alpine meadows filled with a Crayola palette of wildflowers accent beaming, cerulean blue skies.
Indeed, the mountains never tire of providing endless opportunity to explore and reflect and get inspired. Whether you’re all business on the slopes or leading your business conference, Snowpine Lodge offers an unforgettable experience.
Located at the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon, Alta’s first marquee luxury resort hosts the very best in service, dining, and facilities to host company meetings, business retreats, or conferences. No matter your group size or agenda, the Lodge offers 30,000 square feet of versatile meeting space in outdoor and indoor settings. Plenty of room to spread out, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views.
If your meeting dates bring you to Snowpine in non-skiing months or some in the group aren’t big into snow sports, the Lodge offers all manner of alternate distractions and activities. For a new take on team-building, gather ‘round and see who can build the best catapult or try your hand at axe-throwing. Now there’s a couple of things most of us don’t do every day and we’re pretty sure you’ll remember that part of your Snowpine trip for years to come.
History Meets Luxury
Snowpine opened its doors in January of 2019 at the same location as the original, circa 1941 lodge. Steeped in mining era history, the early lodge began its life in the 1800s (the oldest building in the canyon) and served as a post office, general store, and various other establishments.
Also in the old but not-that-old days of the 1960s were a handful of modest, family-run lodges, $4.50 lift tickets ($4.50!), and not much else. Alta started as the quintessential tight-knit mining community and grew into the quintessential tight-knit ski community.
Today’s Snowpine carries on the area’s lineage, albeit swathed in a far more luxurious patina. The Lodge’s rooms offer accoutrements like comfy bedding, robes, mini-bars—and slippers! Guests in upper tier rooms are treated to balconies with outrageous views of Little Cottonwood Canyon and everything is just 200 yards from the ski lifts.
Indulge Your Appetite
Your company’s attendees need look no further than Swen’s Restaurant for delectable and regionally sourced meals like zabuton steak and duck fat potatoes, complemented with soaring mountain views. If you’re in a casual state of mind, The Gulch Pub boasts a full bar packed with craft brews, cocktails, delicious après-ski grub (think burgers and wings) and an addictingly lively atmosphere.
If the kids (or tireless adults) are still wound up from a long day in the exhilarating alpine air, The Nest is the perfect destination for low-key fun. The Nest is a unique game room filled with goodies like pool and foosball tables, ping pong, karaoke, pinball, shuffleboard, and arcade games. Pac-Man, anyone?
Let It All Go
After a long day on in the hills or in the meeting room, there’s nothing quite like stretching out for a relaxing massage or spa treatment and you can find it at the Stillwell Spa. The state of the art facility features an oxygen bar, indoor grotto, sauna and steam room, yoga studio, heated pools, and fitness center where you can ramp up a burn with treadmills, ellipticals, rowing machine, bodyweight machine, or free weights.
It’s everything you need to unwind and recharge.
Come for the Snow, Come for the Summer
Since its very beginning, Alta has been known and revered for deep snow. Really deep. How does 545 inches sound? Powder days are a common occurrence around here and we are not responsible if anyone suspiciously sneaks out of your company meeting. After all, it’s pretty hard to resist.
Summer months are no less extraordinary, with hundreds of miles of mountain trails for hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking for adrenaline junkie experts or easy-going first timers. Those looking for a slower pace will find world class trout streams in close vicinity.
It’s all here at Snowpine Lodge. Bring your meetings to the mountains. Stay for the experience. Find more information at 801-742-2000.
