Tree Planting Day

Be a part of Alta’s busiest event of the season as we spend a burly day on the mountain planting up to 1,000 seedlings. These seedlings are native to Alta and grown from handpicked seed from the mountainside. We will hike to different locations throughout Alta and plant seedlings in areas where they are most likely to survive. Lunch will be provided.
Did you know? Since 1991, 40,624 trees have been planted on Alta’s slopes. This is one of our biggest opportunities to connect with our community. With the help of volunteers, we plant up to 1,500 tree seedlings each year.
