Description

Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, the Housekeeping Supervisor performs supervisory duties to ensure clean, orderly, attractive hotel rooms. Creates daily boards and assigns rooms that need to be cleaned to specific room attendants. Monitors daily checklists of housepersons to ensure common areas and back of house areas are being cleaned. Assists housekeepers as necessary to complete cleaning hotel rooms in a timely manner.

 

The Housekeeping Supervisor typically works 8am-4pm but depending on occupancy may finish early or late. A typical weekly schedule will be 35-45 hours. Weekends and holidays are required.  The hotel provides transportation to and from the hotel from a specific pickup point in Sandy departing at 7:15 am and returning when the housekeeping team completes their shift for a payroll deduction of $10/pay period. Full-time year-round employees are eligible for health, dental, and ski benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Directs room assignments and inspects work of Housekeepers and Houseman. Ensures quality assurance process is met, resulting in appropriate cleanliness and quality levels; supports safety standards procedures.
  • Maintain positive customer and associate relationships: Support housekeeping and hotel leaders in an effort to ensure proper staffing and scheduling for maximum productivity; assist in controlling payroll costs to achieve maximum profitability; communicate priorities to staff through daily and weekly meetings.
  • Administrative duties: Responsible to communicate inventory and purchasing needs to the Facilities Manager.
  • Maintain cleanliness standards: Participate in daily operations including cleaning and inspecting of rooms, common areas, and back of house areas to maintain standards.
  • Reporting problems: Identifies and reports maintenance related problems.
  • Various other duties assigned by the Facilities Manager or other members of the Hotel Management Team.

Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, the Live-In Maintenance Technician performs duties to ensure the hotel is maintained in an acceptable operating condition. The Live-In Maintenance Technician completes a daily checklist of tasks while attending to maintenance emergencies, accepting deliveries, performing snow removal and other tasks around the property.

 

The Live-In Maintenance Technician is a full time, year-round, LIVE-IN position. The Snowpine Lodge provides room and board in a dorm style living arrangement with meals provided in an employee cafeteria for a payroll deduction of $150 per pay period (2 weeks).  Typical work schedule is 3pm-11pm but depending on occupancy may finish early or late. A typical weekly schedule will be 35-45 hours. Due to the nature of the live-in position occasional extra shifts/hours may be required due to maintenance emergencies, weather, road closures, etc.

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the guest rooms, public spaces, and back of the house hotel areas in good repair by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering and landscaping.
  • Clean and maintain the pool and spa areas.
  • Conducts maintenance and safety inspections as needed and ensures timely follow-up to required improvements.
  • Cross-train and work effectively with housekeeping as occupancy and staffing levels required.
  • Operate snow removal and landscaping equipment (shovel, snowblower, Bobcat skid steer, mower, etc) in a safe and effective manner.
  • Responds to Fire Life Safety system alarm notifications on the property.
  • Completes additional duties/tasks as assigned by the Supervisor
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

  • Cleaning of hotel common spaces including but not limited to hallways, public bathrooms, front of house common areas as well as back of house employee areas. Including wiping counter tops, dusting furniture, vacuuming, scrubbing toilets, showers, sinks, kitchens and floors. Cleaning mirrors and emptying trash as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the pool and hot tub areas.
  • Picks up spills, litter and other items as necessary to maintain cleanliness of all common spaces and back of house areas.
  • Delivers special items to guest rooms.
  • Sorting, washing and folding linen.
  • Deep cleaning of guest rooms and common areas as needed.
  • Maintaining and cleaning housekeeping closets and stocking of room attendant carts.
  • Various other duties assigned by the assistant housekeeping manager/supervisor.

Turndown Attendant/PM House-person

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily turndown service on guest rooms including turning down the bed linen to prepare it for use, placing complimentary mints/caramels on the pillows, empty trash, refresh bathroom, and other housekeeping duties as requested/needed by the guest.
  • Cleaning of hotel common spaces including but not limited to hallways, public bathrooms, all front of house common areas as well as back of house employee areas.
