Also located in Little Cottonwood Canyon, Snowbird is one mile down canyon from Snowpine Lodge and Alta Ski Area. Snowbird has 140 runs over 2,500 acres. The terrain is split 27% or beginner, 38% intermediate, and 35% for advanced and expert. Both skiing and snowboarding is permitted at Snowbird Resort.
The ski and snowboard season takes place from mid-November through May, depending on conditions. It averages around 500 inches of the powder that Little Cottonwood Canyon is known for worldwide. Snowbird offers season passes, ski and board rentals, and other skier amenities.
